Main typeface
Section titled “Main typeface”Typography plays an important role in communicating overall tone and quality. Careful use of typography helps ensure clarity and harmony across our communications.
The headline typeface for the Open Home Foundation brand is Biotif, with the name written in uppercase. It is used for the logotype in semibold font weight, as well as in headings, body typeface, packaging design, printed materials, and marketing collateral.
It is not used for user interfaces and website content, as this typeface is not optimized for screens.
Application When applying this typeface, please be sure to enable the following OpenType features:
- Ligature: enabled
- Alternate Sets 2 and 3: enabled
- The “t” will appear curled instead of straight like a cross.
- The “g” will appear curled instead of knotted.

Alternative typeface
Section titled “Alternative typeface”Where Biotif is unavailable, the free alternative is Figtree, used for headings and secondary-level copy.

Alternative typeface
Section titled “Alternative typeface”Instrument Sans is the free alternative used for body typeface and tertiary-level copy. This typeface should be used at 99% width to give it a more svelte appearance.
